ABSTRACT
The study
specifically examined the effects of Employees’ Recruitment on Organisational
Performance in Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). The specific
objectives are to determine the effect of talent sourcing on effectiveness
(service delivery) of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, examine the effect
of interview procedure on productivity (output) of Federal Radio Corporation of
Nigeria and find out the effect of screening and short listing on goal setting
(performance monitoring) of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria. The study
employed a descriptive statistic where a structured questionnaire was used to
collect information from the target respondents who are employees of FRCN in
the Southwest, Nigeria. The population of the study was 196 and the sample size
was 132 which was determine using Taro Yamane formula. The findings reveal that
talent sourcing has significant effect on effectiveness (service delivery) in
Federal Radio Corporation ofNigeria, Southwest. It was also found that
interview procedure has significant effect on productivity (output) of the
Federal Radio Corporation, Southwest, Nigeria. In addition, screening and
shortlisting has significant effect on goal setting (performance monitoring) in
Federal Radio Corporation in Southwest. Based on the findings, the researcher
made the following recommendations; to improve the performance of FRCN, the
management needs to improve on screening the human resources recruited to
carry-out designated task in the organizational irrespective of the position.
This can be achieved by adopting universal or standard model/approach for
recruitment of human capital in FRCN. This will help the organization improve
and enhance productivity by attracting highly suitable candidates needed to be
selected for a particular position
