ABSTRACT
This research was an intensive
analysis of distribution and performance of oil marketers in Oando and Conoil
Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. The study was carried out to examine socio-economic
characteristics of distributors, ascertain the distributor channel market
structure, ascertain pricing /spatial efficiency in the marketing of the
product. A sample size of 52 was adopted from a population of 60 distributors.
A well structured questionnaire was used to collect data for the study which
wer1 later analyzed using simple percentage and simple regression model. The
study concluded that the solution to distribution challenges especially
petroleum scarcity will enhance efficient marketing. Thus, the study
recommended the availability of petroleum products in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria.
