Strategies Planning And Control As A Tool For Survival Of Small Scale Business Organizations (A Study Of 7-Up Bottling Company Ltd Aba, Abia State
ABSTRACT
As a result of complex of nature of organizations, strategic planning and control has therefore become important in order to achieve set of organization goals. This study therefore, attempts or aimed at analyzing adequate strategic planning and control process that will have a net contribution on the survival of the small scale business organization. Chapter one started by specifying the problem that necessitate the study, its significance, the scope, the limitation of they study, statement of the hypothesis, definition of terms used and plan of the work. Chapter two contains an extensive examination of secondary data provided by provided by proven scholars on the concepts. Chapter three described how the data were collected especially the use of primary source as questionnaire and oral interview. Chapter four presented a thorough analysis of the data collected questionnaire was mostly used. The appropriately hypothesis was formulated and chi-square (x2) analysis used. A total of 133 questionnaires were admiflistered to staff and 50 were complete and 83 were neither returned nor completed. Finally, the research summary of findings, conclusion and relevant recommendations are continued in chapter five. One interesting finding upon which conclusion was based is that major factor which has impeded the growth of small scale business over the years, which is the inability of small scale business organization to adhere strictly to strategic planning and control.
