ABSTRACT
The study examined the “Impact ofstaff morale
on job satisfaction oj the Nigerian Bottling Company I lc . 7 he objective of
the study include Io know if there is any direct relationship between staff
motivation (reward) and job satisfaction, to determine if an employee who
experiences satisfactions on their job is liable to high productivity, and to
determine ifmonetary and non financial motivation has impact on job
satisfaction productivity. Data will be collected ihtoiigh ptimaty and secondary
source with the use of well structured questionnaire. A total sample of bb will
be use for this research. Data collected from the field, will be analyzed using
descriptive and inferential statistics like percentage, mean, standard
deviation T-test, linear regression model and five (5) point rating scale. The
rating is as follows, strongly agree, disagree/point. Item with mean scores
equal to or greater than 3.0 will be regarded as agreement while those scores
lower than 3.0 will be regarded as disagreement. The regression mode! of the
ordinary least square (OLS) approach will be used to lest the hypothesis. The
sampling method used was stratified random sampling so that various departments
of the employee can be represented in the sample size. 3 ranks representing
top. middle and low will be purposefully selectedfor this study. The total
membership ofthe company is one. hundred and fifteen (115). The population
ofthe study consists ofall the staffofNigerian Bottling Company (Coca-Cola PTC)
in Lagos Island area, which will represent the Top, Middle, and Lower level
management. The lop staffs comprises of 10 members, middle 30 members and lower
staffs 73 members making a total of 115 population in the company. It is
recommended that the organization should as a matter of urgency reviews their
motivational strategies because workers come to work to meet their needs and
responsibilities and NBC Pic should motivate their employees by way ofpromoting
deserving staffs, good medical scheme, and provision of belter accommodation Io
enhance higher efficiency and productivity.
