Impact Of New Product Development Strategies In The Sales Volume Of Union Bank Plc In Abia State, Nigeria.
ABSTRACT
The work was an exclusive analysis of the effect of new
product development on sales performance in the banking sector. The specific
objectives of the study were to study the effect of sales force motivation on
employee performance; and to enhance the success of commercial banks in
adopting new product development. The study adopted a sample size of 255 from a
population of 300, through a sampling plan of purposive sampling method. A well
structured questionnaire was used to collect primary data which were analyzed
using simple percentages and correlation model. After the study, we concluded
that new product development enhances performance in the banking sector. Thus,
the study recommended the adoption of new product development in the banking
sector.
