ABSTRACT

 The study focused on the impact of employee job security on organizational performance (A Study of Selected Health Institutions in Ahia State). The study sought to examine the impact of lateness/absenteeism on organizational effectiveness of Selected Health Institutions in Abia State, to assess the influence of strike/ working environment on organizational proficiency of selected Health Institutions in Ahia State and to determine the effect of staff welfare/ recognition on organizational efficiency of Selected Health Institutions in Abia State. The study employed a survey design, the study employed primary and secondary sources of data. the total population of the study was3257 staff, thus the sample size of356 was derived from Taro Yamane formula which was were distributed to the Federal medical center and Ahia State University teaching hospital, I 0 questionnaire were wrongly filled while 346 questionnaire were filled and returned. The simple random sampling method was used. Z-test and regression model were employed. The study found out that Lateness/absenteeism has a significance impact on organizational effectiveness of Selected I lcalth Institutions in Abia State. The study concluded that Staff welfare and recognition has a significance effect on organizational efficiency of Selected Health Institutions in Abia State. The study recommended that management should endeavor to apply a technology mechanism that will check mate employee daily activities of signing in and signing out also improve on employee rewards towards improving the punctuality of staff.
