Impact Of Corporate Social Responsibility On Organizational Performance (Study Of Selected Indigenous Companies Aba Abia State)
ABSTRACT
The study examined the effect of
corporate social responsibility on organizational performance. This study
identify the relationship between CSR and sale volume, market share and
corporate profit of indigenous firms. Three indigenous firms were selected for
the research, namely, Udeagbala Holding, Tonimas Holding and Starline. Research
design was adopted with the aid of 105 questionnaire to the management of the
three firms: Simple random sampling was used and chi-square used to analyses
the data. The finding reveals that there is a significant relationship between
corporate social responsibility between sales volume, market share and
profitability, Based on the finding; the following recommendation were made,
the organization share and imbibe the system of recruiting from the host
community as they serve as vanguards, ambassadors and public officers to their
fellow indigenous and can lobby for the organization they work for. Proper
training programme should be put in place for the members of the organization
(staff/management) to orientate their minds on the new and necessary order or
achievement. Government should encourage and motivate the organizations that
practice corporate social responsibility so as to do more for the good of thè
citizen and t. e development of the society.
