ABSTRACT
The topic
ofthis research is Evaluation ofLeadership Styles in Management ofMOUAU (From
2011 - 2015). The objective ofthis research work is to assess the leadership
styles and adopted ' by the management ofMOUAUfrom 2011— 2015 and the
relationship between leadership style and management.. The population of the
study, was 819 while the researcher used the Yaro Yamani formular in the determination of the
sample size, which was 269. 'The type of the researcher design used was survey
research. The researcher used both primary and secondary source in obtaining
the relevant data used in the. course of the study. The primary- data was . .
collected using the instrument of questionnaires. white . using written
textbooks, journals, magazines;
newspapers and the use oflibrary. The researcher used chi-square in the testing
of the hypothesisformulated while simple percentage was used in analyzing the
research questions. Thefindings ofthe
research study was that there is a significant relationship between leadership
style and organizationalperformance in MOUAU (R = 0.929; p < 0.05); there is
.a significant' relationship between managementpolicy and staffempowerment (R -
0.902; p < Q. 05); and that there is a significant relationship between
leadership style and management principles. (R = 0.919; p < 0.05). The
researcher recommended that the Management ofMOUAUshould review the type of
leadership style that will be practiced in the institution which will increase
