Effects Of Sales Promotion On Consumer Purchase Behaviour Among Mtn Subscribers In Umuahia Metropolis
ABSTRACT
This research was carried out to
examine the effect of sales promotion on consumer purchase behavior among MTN
subscribers in Umuahia. The objectives of the study are to identify the extent
to which sales promotion strategies influence MTN subscribers and to analyze
the constraints affect that affects MTN subscribers. This work was carried out
using 200 well structured questionnaires which was administered to various
household heads consumers in Umuahia, and out of 200 copies, 150 was returned
when the data was analyzed, the study found that almost half of the respondent
5 6.66% subscribes to MTN and are slightly educated with 42.00% .Also poor
access to network was indicated as the major constraint with 29.16% while bonus
incentive is the promotional tool that motivates the purchase of MTN with
42.24% based on these findings, the 5reserchers recommends that
telecommunication industries should use sales promotional strategies to create
awareness and increase the consumption rate of both new and existing products.
