ABSTRACT
This research focused on the analysis of the
effect of organizational culture on employees· performance in telecommunication
industry. The objectives of this work includes; to examine the effects of
timely pay package on attracting new customers by the employee to the firm;
analyze the relationship between staff welfare and au ending to customers by
the employee; to examine the effect of better service in relation to the sales
of SIM card on the firm. This research relied heavily on primary data as data
used in the analysis were sourced from field survey. The population of this
study is five hundred (500) respondents were made up of management staff and
other staff of the MTN industry. This represents the estimated number of staffs
working with MTN firm. Using Taro Yamane's model a sample of 222 respondents
constituted our sample size. Multiple Regression and the correlation
statistical tools were employed to test the hypotheses that state. timely
payment of salaries does not have any significant effect on attracting new
customers by the employee; there is no significant relationship between staff
welfare and attending to customer by the employee; and better service package
has no significant effect on the sale of SIM card by the employee. The findings
reveal that timely payment of salary and service package were significant at /%
respectively and positively related to employee performance. Service package
and leadership style were significant at 10% and positively related to employee
performance. The organizational culture helps to achieve a high extent of
employee performance through the number of SIM card sold by the employee.
Conclusively this work therefore recommends that the adoption of organizational
culture should be maintained in the organization. Key words; performance,
