Effect Of Motivation Of Salesperson On Performance In A Manufacturing Firm (In Onitsha, Anambra State)
ABSTRACT
This research work focused on the effect of motivation of
salesperson on performance of firms in Anambra State. The study was carried out
in Ontisha, Anambra State L.G.A. using Amos Best Coy. Aboutrespondents were
randomly selected and used as sample of the study. The sample size used was
determined using Row & Column's formular oral interview and observation
were used in questionnaire administration in analyzing the result frequencies,
percentages and tables were used while chi-square made and regression model
were adopted in testing the hypothesis, findings indicated that the level of
motivation and training were low. Adequate motivations enhance sales
performance. Good conditions of work leads to salesmen satisfaction. Right
selection of salesperson have significant influence on sales performance it was
recommended that the salesmen should be motivated and trained there should be
motivated, adequate good condition of work selection produce of salesperson
should be on the basis of qualification, and not on the basis of familiarity
and relationship with the application.
