ABSTRACT

This study is aimed at highlighting the effect ofjob satisfaction on employees performance: A study of Nigerian Breweries Pic, Aba. The problems identified showed that lack of motivation packages and inability of firms to recognize their subordinates/employees as well as lack of good work conditions and favourable environment for their workers hinder the workers from putting in their best in organizational tasks. Therefore, the major objectives is to find out other factors that could lead to increased productivity and attainment of organizational goals. Also to ascertain how motivation can enhance effectiveness and efficiency of an employee and also to determine the relationship between job satisfaction and how it affects employee output in an organization. The data were collected from both the primary and secondary sources. These include interviews, observations and questionnaire. The population of one hundred (100) was made up of the management senior ad junior staff, and a sample size eighty (80) was used. The researcher also used percentage in the analyses of data and chi-square (X2) in testing the hypotheses. The finding of the study showed that there is a positive relationship between level of income and job satisfaction. It was also observed that equal rating among employees doing the same kind of job will enhance productivity and it will help to encourage employees to accept Nigeria Breweries Pic as not only their source of livelihood, but also their own property. The variety of tasks for employees so as to make their own property. The study recommends, that management and others should provide a variety oftasks for employees so as to make them find their jobs interesting ad challenging. Management should also have a cordial relationship with employees to increase productivity and the attainment of organizational goals.
