ABSTRACT

 This research study evaluates the effect of incentive strategies on organizational performance using Consolidated Breweries Plc, Awo-Omamma, Imo State as a study reference. Specifically, the study aims to identify the incentive strategies or approach adopted in Consolidated Breweries Plc, Awo-Omamma, Imo State, evaluate the impact of adopted financial and moral incentives on the performance of organization, identify the most suitable incentive strategy that enhances organization performance and ascertain how employees perceive the overall performance of an organization in the presence of incentives. This research design is accomplished with a descriptive research made up of questionnaire surveys and person interview. The primary source of data provided part of the information and data used in this work hard information general for the purpose of this view, physical observation etc, all on the case study organisation. The population of study was taken to be all the managers and other staff of the case study organization which in total gives 400 personnel The sample percentage Friedman's ANOVA, one-way ANOVA and chi-square were used precisely for its simplicity and to remove all the problems associated with analyzing data with complete statistically tools to be able to make sure or the validity and reliability of the research work. The result of the study revealed there are significant incentive strategies or approach adopted in Consolidated Breweries Plc, Awo-Omamma, Imo State, the adopted financial and moral incentives significantly affect the performance of organization and there are significant ways employees perceive the overall performance of an organization in the absence of incentives. The study therefore recommends that incentives should be given according to the level of performance in order to persuade the employees into doing their best so as to improve organizational performance.
