Development And Performance Test Of A Benchtop Venturi Tube:- ALozie, Chukwuemeka U
ABSTRACT
A Bench Top venturi tube was developed in this
study. It is also a Bernoulli's apparatus and a fundamental experimental
apparatus for fluid mechanics. With this set up, one could be able to verify
Bernoulli's principle which is the foundation of fluid mechanics. The Apparatus
was developed with materials available which are, a 0.5hp water pump, a control
switch, plastic water. tank, 5 manometers, a venture tube, inlet and outlet
control valves, pipe fittings, pipes, hose, hydraulic bench board. With the
Apparatus, one can determine and verify Bernoulli's principle also measure
directly the static head distribution along a venturi tube.
