Corporate Social Responsibility As A Strategic Tool For Corporate Performance (A Study Of Mtn Abia State)p
ABSTRACT
A corporate organization that wants to achieve operational stability would necessarily maintain cordial relationship with the employee. This study was carried out empirically to evaluate the relationship between corporate social responsibility and corporate performance. It was carried out as a case study of MTN in Abia state to achieve the stated objectives. Person's correlation analysis was adopted. The result of the empirical analysis indicated that there was a positive and significant relationship between corporate social responsibility and profitability, there was also positive relationship between corporate social responsibility and market share, and there was also positive relationship between corporate social responsibility and sales volume of MTN in Abia State. It was recommended that the study company (MTN) should invest more on corporate social responsibility since the exercise will lead to increase in the profitability, market share and sales volume of MTN.
