ABSTRACT
This research work was on the attitude of secondary school
girls towards early marriage in Ikwuano local government area of Abia State. A
random sample of 160 respondents was chosen from the selected schools for the
study and questionnaires were used for data collection. Data analysis was done
using frequency count, mean score and cluster mean scores. The study showed
that the majority of the respondents were within ages 15 19 (57.50%). The
respondents had a favourable attitude towards early marriage. The level of
sexuality is considerably low among the repents, which may be as a result of
education background and respect f value system in the study area. Religion and
lack of sex education were not major factors that are responsible for early
marriage.ho
