Time Series Analysis On Reported Cases Of High Blood Pressure From 2007- 2014 (Case Study Of Federal Medical Center Yenagoa
ABSTRACT
This study focused on the
analysis of the monthly reported cases of patients diagnosed of high blood
pressure over the period January 2007 to December, 2014. The data used for this
project were collected from the Medical Records Department of Federal Medical
Centre Yenagoa. Preliminary analyses of the data using Box-Jenkins methodology
suggested that the series be differenced to achieve stationary. Visual
inspection of the plots of the ACF and PACF of the first difference of the
series suggested ARIMA (1, 1, 1) model be fitted to the data Q statistics was
then used to confirm the adequacy of the fitted model
