Multivariate Analysis On The Performance Of Students Using The Hotellings T Statistic (A Case Study Of Abia State University 2009-2011):- Uko Onwukwe U
ABSTRACT
The differential scholastic
achievement of students in Nigeria has been and is still a source of concern
and research interest to educators, government and parents, this is ·so because
of the great importance that education has on the national development of the
country. All over the country, there is a consensus of opinion about the fallen
standard of education in Nigeria. Parent and government are in total agreement
that their huge investment on education is not yielding the desire dividend.
Meanwhile it should be well noted by all individual especially the government
that the basic essence of child education is to maximize his/her inherited
potentials so that in reciprocal, the child could contribute quantitatively and
qualitatively to the growth and development of the society in particular and
the nation at large; furthermore, education is the proven bedrock of every
successful society or economic community, hence it is an essential requirement
for making a successful future and a crime reduced environment, if only the
constraints militating against proper child education are strictly tackled.
