ABSTRACT
This
Research Work Investigates the relationship that exist between GDP and other
economic variable like agriculture, services, wholesale and retail trade and
oil production. This also include to measure the rate of impact of these economic
variable to the Nigerian economy. This is because, it may not be physically
possible to access the activities of these economic variables except the
research work like this is conducted. Secondary data was collected from CBN
bulletin (Golden jubilee edition). Regression analysis was used to analyse data.
After the study, it was discovered that ajd relationship exist between the
variables (total variation in Y was 'A by 96% of the independent variables).
The study also reveals that the services has the Iighest impact followed by
agriculture and this could be traced to the stability of agriculture and
essential services unlike the oil sector which is not stable. Finally sequel to
these investigations and more, appropriate recommendations were made after the
study.
