ABSTRACT

The study focused on the impact of business environment on organizational productivity, A study ofNigerian Breweries PLC, Aba, Abia State. The specific objectives were to; identify the effect ofmacro and micro environmentalforces on the productivity ofbusiness organizations in Nigeria; examine the impact of technological innovation in the performance of business organizations and investigates the impact of government policies and programmes on the performance of business organizations in Nigeria. Questionnaire were distributed to staffofNigerian Breweries PLC. Data generated were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The result of the analysis provided the following findings; the application of technology increases organizational performance of the -company, conducive business atmosphere lead to organizational performance of the company. Motivating company’s employees improve their performance in service delivery and customer relationship marketing activities; increase in the marketing activities leads to increase in marketing performance of the company; which may have contributed organizational performance, marketing communications enhances the performance of business organizations. Based on the finding, the following recommendations wereproffered; Technological environment should be adapted Jo. These will lead to increase in the organizationalperformance ofthe company. The government should ensure political stability. This will increase conducive business atmosphere that may lead to organizational performance of the company. Labour relations should be maintained or improved upon. The company’s employeesshould be motivated in order to improve theirperformance in theirservice delivery and customerrelationship marketing activities. The study also revealed that increase in the marketing activities leads to increase in marketing performance of the company; which may have contributed organizational performance.
