The information Age also-referred to  as he Digital Age has been characterized with informationexplosion, learning and developments in information technology. The increasing role of technology in libraries in the Information Age hos no doubt impacted significantly on the changing role of libraries and librarians. to che effect that the Information Age librarians are making greater use of emerging technologies in library management and services co make it more popular and useful among the patrons. This significant impact of technology on librorianship is giving some librarians and libraries the erroneous belief chat they can do it alone, without cooperating or collaborating with ocher librarians and libraries. The paper made an exposition on how to harness the gains of cooperative librarianship in che lnfonnaiion Age. The paper inquired into the concept of cooperative librarianship, and highlighted the possible areas of cooperation, the library leadership and question of cooperative librarianship.
