ABSTRACT

Examination misconduct is any immoral behavior before, during or after any examination. Reasons for examination misconduct are the result of students’ laziness to attend lectures, low moral standard in schools; candidate’s fear of failure, lack of confidence in them, poor preparation for examinations by students and 419 syndromes that have eaten deep into the life of our society. I was motivated to embark on this research because of the increasing rate of examination misconduct as a result of poor lecture attendance, student graduating with poor grade, extension of residency due to examination misconduct practice and dismissal for student that is involved in examination misconduct. The system was achieved by developing a platform for examination misconduct surveillance using image training, build a database structure used to store data of students, create a module for adding students ‘for registration, design a platform that take photo capture of students, create a platform that train dataset on student’s image, design a platform that view registered users, create a platform that capture examination surveillance live streaming. This research was realized through the adoption of data collection which includes interview, observation, questionnaire, the internet, journals and the waterfall model.
