Effects Of Workers Participation In Decision Making On Organizational productivity (A Study Of Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo):- Ejieke, Silvia E
ABSTRACT
This study
investigated the effects of workers participation in decision making on
organizational productivity. The research was conducted in Imo State
Polytechnic, Umuagwo, Imo State. The study had a population of 200 from which
the Taro Yamane formula for sample size determination was applied to generate a
sample size of 134. The study used a well structured questionnaire to collect
primary data from the respondents, the researcher also used secondary data like
textbooks, journal, internet etc. to source for information that are related to
the study. From the results of the analyses, it was found that workers
participation has effects on the productivity of organizations. Therefore the
researcher recommended that Management of organizations encourage and motivate
workers as well as to allow them make decisions in the organization, thereby
boosting organizational productivity
