ABSTRACT
The rapid increase in technological
advancement especially through the internet (online) has led to the development
of computer system (software) with the ability of performing effective online
recruitment (e-recruitment) is increasingly being adopted by organizations
internationally, nationally and even locally as a critical tool for managing
the internal recruitment processes. This trend can be attributed to both a push
from candidates, who prefer to access and respond to employment opportunities
electronically, as well as increasing pressure for organizations to reduce
recruitment processing cost while still maintaining process quality and
integrity. However having the right person, in the right place, and at the
right time is crucial to organizational performance. It appears that recruiting
the "best" candidates for job has become progressively more complex
over recent years as the number of higher education participants is increasing.
This research project is organized in five chapters to handle the design and
implementation of online recruitment system (E-Recruitment).it is as follows;
Chapter one introduced the project with segments like the background of the
study, statement of the problem, objective and justification of the study, the
scope and limitation, background and organizational chart of the case study.
Chapter two comprises of a well-explained literature review on definition of E-recruitment,
the growth and development of e-recruitment, and the complete stages of E-recruitment.
Chapter three describes in detail the research methodology, system
investigation and analysis used for this research project. Chapter four
explained the system design and implementation. Chapter five is the last
chapter of the work where the recommendation, summary and conclusion were given
with the references and appendices.
