ABSTRACT
Child abuse means any form ofmistreatment,
neglect, or harm inflicted on a child by parents, caregivers, guardians, or
others. Child abuse leads to long-term physical, emotional, and psychological
trauma that affects a child’s growth and future. It also creates social and
educational challenges, making it difficult for victims to trust others,
succeed in school, or build healthy relationships. The aim of a child abuse
reporting system is to ensure timely detection, protection, and intervention to
safeguard children from harm. The objective is to identify and report cases of
child abuse at the earliest stage, to protect children from further harm’ or
exploitation and to provide necessary medical, psychological, and social
support to victims. The method which was used to collect information from Child
Safety Monitoring Center administrators as the researcher was asking questions
about the current system through interviews. Since the system is a web-based,
Python (Django/Flask), JavaScript, PHP (Laravel) was used as the programming
language and MySQL database software was used for database designs to store the
data entries from the interface. The result of using the system will be faster
reporting, effective response, and improved protection of children from abuse.
It is recommended that the child abuse reporting system be made easily
accessible, confidential, and integrated with support services for maximum
effectiveness.
