Tourism is an important, even vital, source of income for many regions and countries. Its importance.is activity-essential to the life of nations because ofits direct effects on the social, cultural, educational, and economical sectors of national societies and on their international relations. The objectives ofthe study include the following, conducting tourism information . management, being able to produce a comprehensive thematic map, providing multimedia f information about tourist sites, Providing reference for tourism development This study covers the integration of-multimedia and geographic information system in tourism management.. Considering the Nature ofthis study and how interactive it would be, the methodology to be used will, be one that would consider the-end user at every point in time. Hence,, Agile '• ’Methodology will be adopted for this study. Tourist can use their mobile phone or laptops. ■' through the help of multimedia to watch videos about the tourist attraction site.they v?ant to ■ ■visit too see pictures and also with the help of a thematic map they can ascertain the .iocation of the said tourist attraction site. The new system is designed to solve problem affecting the - ■; manual system in use. It is design to be used online thereby relieving both tourist and admins 'from much stress as experienced from the manual system. The front-end part ofthe site was » developed using HTML, CSS and java script while the back end was developed using PHP.
