ABSTRACT

A farm record is major documents required by every commercial farm to document and keep track of all operations being carried out on the farm in an organized manner. The idea of taking control over these operations electronically is as a result of the tedious nature of doing it manually, most especially in a case where the farming activities and products are very large, could lead to time consumption, create room for error, data inconsistency and lack of security of data hence this project. The aim of this project is to design and implement a web based farm record and mortality check analysis. Its objectives includes keeping track of farm produce, documenting farm information such as product cost, profit made and taxes on monthly bases etc, the system will also provide access to users like the farm manager and other authorized personnels to login with their username and password in order to access the system, view, retrieve, update, delete and submit reports The methodology used in developing this project is the Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) which works with the "Iteration" design model of software development life cycle. This system, which is a web based farm recording system, is a web based application which is implemented using HTML, PHP, CSS and MySQL programming languages. The end result of this project would be a system that provides a more secured and reliable platform for farm owners, Easy tax reporting, generation of monthly profit and expenditure estimates, quick access to modify and maintain product price ranges.
