ABSTRACT
The fundamental ideaj> behind wavelet is to analyze according to scale. Like most analyzing functions it can analyze using various methods. This work emphasized deeply on wavelet and fourier analysis, similarities between transform and then dissimilarities between wavelet transform and fourier transform as an analyzing functions. These form the heart of chapter 2. Applications of wavelet in computer and human vision, FBI fingerprint compression, musical tones and detecting self similarity in a time series form the bulk of chapter three. I describe an order method for computing two point boundary value problem and reductions to the periodized differential problems in the wavelet bases these make up chapter four.
