ABSTRACT
This research is based on the toxicity of Driniiopis Bateri-Bak, a bulbous flowering
plant that is believed to be toxic to humans when ingested. It is aimed at chccking
the concentration and dosage at which this plant is toxic to human using albino rats
as well as investigating the nutritional value of the plant by testing for its
phytochemical value. It was fOund out that the bulb is more toflic than the leaf by
containing high concentration of hydrogen cyanide, phenol and tannin which
affected the organs of the albino rats as well as the weight negatively. Finally, the
plant could be toxic when consumed in lethal doses since toxicity is dose
dependent.
