ABSTRACT

This work is geared to unveil the measured quality characteristics of Nigerian breweries product (star), which are temperature, pressure, carbonation and alcohol percentage by volume, hence to construct control charts that could be used to study the production processes of the product (star). Statistical quality control technique used in this work is process control. It was carefully observed that both the process standard deviation and the process Mean of the four quality characteristics of Nigerian Breweries (star) are not operating on a stable process control. But for a more stable process standard deviation and process mean, the points that fall outside the warning and action limits were discarded and revised control limits constructed. Since it was concluded that the company operates in an unstable quality standard for the product (star), then for a more improved quality, the company should consider operating a quality control chart for the product (star) and some others.
