Statistical Process Control On Production Processes (A Case Study Of Saclux Paint Company Umuahia) :- Ogbonna Nwachukwu

ABSTRACT

One of the most economical and useful method of applying quality control in industrial field is tatistical process control. The need for the creation of industry is to produce goods with a very ~gh quality standard. This research work investigates the level of process oontrol in saclux paint company Umuahia. The study involves inspection of seven quality characteristics on monthly basis. This was done for thirty months. The seven quality characteristics used in the production of white emulsion paint such as PVA, water, calcon, ammonia, calcium, toalin, antifoam from the company where analyzed using statistical tools such as control chart for variable (X-BAR and R-BAR chart).Furthermore, this work shows that there are many points that fall out of the control limits. This means that the production process is out of control and the revised control limits were constructed. Since it was concluded that the production process is not within control limits calls for a decisive action by the company.
