ABSTRACT

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between students study habits and their academic performance in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike. Abia State. The participants were students from 2012/2013 academic session both male and female from different colleges of the university, which required examination results. The study habits of the participants were assessed by administering questionnaires, in other to provide data for the study. The statistical techniques employed in the analysis of the data collected. for this study was chi-square test of independence. Results from the study revealed that students study habits in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture affects their academic Performance and also that the performance of students does not depend on their course of discipline. Hence we conclude that many factors arc responsible for the poor performance of students.
