Medical biochemistry tiies to understand and solve health problems in man and animals using the tools of modern biochemistry. General biochemistry concepts and enquires into biological and chemical reactions that takes place in the cell are basic Knowledge necessary for work in both molecular and the cellular aspects of modern biology. Medical Biochemistry is a neglected area and there are just very fejv universities with departments in medical biochemistry in Nigeria
