Oral Glucose Tolerance Test Of Male And Female Students In Michael Okpara University Of Agrigculture, Umudike

ABSTRACT

The Oral Glucose Tolerance 'Test of male and male students in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, UmLiclike was earned out using 26 subjects up  14 males and 12 females. the 26 subjects were divided into 3 age groups according to sex (Gender) and lasted over night. Fasting blood sugar was takeii and 75g glucose load was given to each ol them after which the oral glucose tolerance test was, instituted. The oral glucose tolerance was doiic using the (Ol)-l'( )l) method for "in vitro" determination of glucose in plasma and based on the subjects' consent. The results of' test were analyzed statistically and it was discovered that gender and age affect oral Glucose Tolerance 'lest.
