The moral decadence in society cannot be overemphasized. This study investigated the moral conflicts bc1vcen adolescents and their parents. The population of the study consisted of two subsets. One of them was made of adolescents who are students in tertiary institutions. Parents of adolescents formed the Second subset. A sample of eight hundred and forty adolescents was randomly selected from two university campuses and a polytechnic campus. The data collected were analyzed by cross tabulation and the use of chi-square statistics. Twenty- live areas of moral conflict were reported by adolescents and eleven by parents. The chi-square test showed that marital status and religion had a relationship with parenting styles. Implications of the findings were highlighted. If was recommended that governmental and nongovernmental agencies should endeavor to sensitize parents on the need to adopt the authoritative style of parenting. Appropriate youth programs should be set up to engage adolescents in positive social exploration.
