ABSTRACT
Fifty samples often different brands of cough syrups (28±2°C) and refrigeration temperature (4±2°C). were Staphylococcus aureus (100%), Micrococcus spp (80%), monographs. These products can were analyzed for microbial quality The result revealed the microbial count of 9.0x104 to 2.0x10' cfu/ml bacteria at ambient temperature and 6.4x104 to 1.5xl05 cfu/ml bacteria at refrigeration temperature; 2.2x104 to 5.6x104 cfu/ml fungi at ambient temperature and 4.0xl03 to 2.4x104 cfu/ml fungi at refrigeration during storage at ambient temperature Physicochemical studies were also conducted to ascertain the stability of their active ingredients.
