ABSTRACT ix One method of solving a boundary or initial value problem is by converting the differential equation with its boundary or initial conditions into an integral equation and solving the integral equation. In this project work, we study the concept of integral equations and its conversions to boundary or initial value problems, specifically, applying the Leibniz rule or method we easily achieved our aim. It was discovered that though other methods like transformation formula which convert any multiple integrals to a single integral, Leibniz rule or method convert integral equations to boundary or initial value problems.
