ABSTRACT x Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience that combines the real world and computer-generated 3D content. It is a technology that superimposes digital information, such as images, videos, and sounds, onto the real world, enhancing the user's perception of their surroundings. It is largely synonymous with mixed reality. Augmented Reality (AR) shopping apps leverage AR technology to enable users to visualize products in their home environment before purchasing, thus bridging the gap between online and in-store shopping experiences. The problem statement ofthis research focus on Lack of user comfort and safety issues, high-quality 3D models of products can be time-consuming and costly, Inaccurate mapping can lead to incorrect placement and scaling ofAR models, camera and sensors, raise privacy and security concerns, compatibility with a wide range of devices with varying hardware capabilities is a challenge. The objectives ofthis research are to develop a platform for augmented reality (AR) shopping app, build a database structure used to store data, create a module used for user registration and adding ofshopping item, design a platform that add new category, add brand and add new product, design a platform that view customer detail and category list, design a platform that view brand list, post list and view detailed product. The project was realized through the adoption of primary and secondary sources of data collection which includes interview, observation, questionnaire and surfing the net. The research methodology used is rapid application development methodology. The system is implemented by using Html, PHP and MYSQL for the database. The results showed that the system addresses the challenges by optimizing a valuable tool for retailers looking to enhance customer engagement and differentiate themselves in a competitive market
