ABSTRACT
The transmitter is a generator of radio frequency (ri) signals for wireless communication over some distance, which can vary from the short ranges within a building to intercontinental distances. Radio communication involves transmission and reception of audio waves or signal. This involves the stages of a generated carrier wave, amplification, modulation and transmission via the antenna. Demodulation takes place at the receiver through the receiving areal A radio wave is described by it's wave length (ranges from I Om to I 0ni) or frequency (from 3KHz to 300 GIlz). The project is on the design and construction of a medium wave transmitter the medium - wave frequency falls between the range of 300 KHz to 3,000 KHz and uses the principle of amplitude modulation. The transmitter stages are the oscillator, the amplifier and the modulator. The electronic devices consist; the transistor as the active device, the resistors, capacitors which were coupled in a circuit to give the final transmitter.
