ABSTRACT

The project's primary goal is to establish an online book store enabling users to conveniently browse and buy books by title, author, and subject matter. Users can access a catalog of selected books and proceed with online orders facilitated by credit card payments, eliminating the need to visit physical stores and saving valuable time. Inspired by established platforms like Powell's and Amazon, the project aims to employ SQL Server as the backend infrastructure to power this webbased application. Student can effortlessly search for, add, and purchase books via their web browsers, either by logging into existing accounts or quickly creating new ones with personal information. The Online Book Store Website offers a seamless online shopping experience, allowing student to create accounts, log in, manage shopping carts, and complete transactions using their credit card information. Administrators enjoy enhanced privileges, enabling them to add, delete, update book details, manage book categories, oversee member information, and confirm placed orders. The application leverages HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL programming languages, utilizing components such as master pages, data sets, data grids, and user controls to realize the functionality ofthe Online Book Store.
