ABSTRACT
The low/high voltage sensor is basically on the principle of voltage comparators. The comparator is realized using an integrated circuit (IC) comparator. The diode logic and date (DL) I used to compare the output of the compared voltages of the comparator, which is connected to an NPN transistor, which in turn amplifies the current to the load. Integrated circuit timer is used as a fault indicator to the system. The percentage allowable variation above or below the required voltage can be preset to suit specific load appliance. This system is incorporated with an audio circuit that alerts the user whenever there is ant abnormality in the mains supply in to a specific load appliance.
