ABSTRACT

The project "computerization of motor vehicle licensing: A case study of Umuahia North Motor Vehicle Licensing Authority"; the study was conducted to determine the model of operation of the present system and its efficiency. Licensing is one of the essential activities needed to carry out our daily business. The manual model of operation used by Umuahia North motor vehicle licensing authority was analyzed and a computerized motor vehicle licensing system was developed. The system in hid to enhance fast and efficient service swill make provision for a computerized documentation of umuahia North Motor Vehicle Licensing Authority services regarding their operations and services rendered to customers. Chapter one of this research work is a general introduction of License, historical background of the case study, its aim of study, method in which the study was done, the scope and limitation of study and definition of terms. Chapter two is the literature review, defining License and the basic types of license and Sonic other License activities. Chapter three handles the research methodology and data collection techniques used and also the analysis of the existing system. Chapter four x-rays the system analysis and design model, showing the scope of the design reached, input specification, programs, and the system forms. Chapter five takes a closer look at the implementation of the system, conversion and changeover of system and development cost. Finally, chapter live is the summary, recommendations and conclusion.
