ABSTRACT
The thin layer chromatographic investigation ofthe crude ethanolic extract and the chloroform fraction ofIpomoea mauritiana leaves, were carried out. Quantitative and qualitative phytochemical analysis of the leaves confirm the presence of various phytochemicals like alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, saponins and tannins. The presence of these phytochemicals can be correlated with medicinal potential ofthe plant (leaf).
