Application Of Statistical Quality Control Techniques In A Production Process. (A Case Study Of The Nigeria Breweries Company Industrial Layout Aba)

ABSTRACT

The concept of statistical control is one of the most useful tools of production management. Therefore, this work is concerned with the application of statistical quality control technique to a production process with a view of maximizing profit, which arises from producing high quality products. We also employ some statistical techniques in solving the problems that arise in this work such as testing for consistency of data used and verification of the application of statistical quality control in maintaining the uniformity of the quality of products. The test statistic like kolgomorov- smirnov and graphs known as control charts were employed to analyze the sample data for conformity of finished products. It was found out that the product were consistent and under control too.
