ABSTRACT

Many institutions offer a number of courses that are taken by most or all of their students. These courses are referred to as University requirement courses. They are compulsoiy courses in that the students must pass them before they graduate. Some of the compulsory courses are basic or introductory courses offered by most or their entire first or second your students, a large number of students that take them are usually in the range of thousands. It is therefore difficult to have the full concentration of students during lectures. Also some students are intimidated by large classes and do not ask questions in class. We therefore propose web-based teaching as a useful alternative. We believe that the use of the web to deliver lectures can lead to move effective learning and education. This project attempt to explain the concept of website development accentuating the knowledge behind it in terms of design, operation and standards. The project will further unveil the benefit of having student's registration courses on the internet in today's information technology and communication.
