ABSTRACT iv Currency transaction system is a fundamental aspect of the global economy, facilitating the exchange ofmoney in various forms. Currency transaction systems often involve manual processes that can be slow and cumbersome. Transactions may require physical presence, leading to delays and increased time for processing. The aim of this project is to develop a digital currency transaction system. One of the objective is to create a digital wallet system for storing, sending, and receiving digital currency and also to enable peer-to-peer (P2P) transfer of digital currency. The methodology adopted in this project work is the Object Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology (00ADM). This methodology was used because it allows one to plan, manage and control a project well, one ofthe benefits of(00ADM) is that, it allows effective management of software complexity by the virtue of modularity. Through an extensive analysis of user requirements, regulatory frameworks, and technological advancements, i propose a model that will only meet the demands of consumers and businesses but also aligns with governmental policies on digital currencies. The programming language of implementation is PHP. PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is known as a general-purpose scripting language that can be used to develop dynamic and interactive websites. The Database Management System deployed is MYSQL. Initial testing within a controlled environment indicates significant improvements in transaction speed and user experience compared to traditional banking systems. The implementation of a multi version ofthis project is recommended. The online transaction interface design implementation in this project makes it a veritable tool for online payment in supermarket, mini market, merchant shop etc. The design of the various interfaces and its implementation in this project makes it an available tool for use in Commercial Banks, Merchant Banks, and development Banks etc. including other financial institutions in enhancing operational efficiency, improving customer service, and streamlining financial transactions across diverse banking environments.
