Time Series Analysis of the monthly sales volume of Nigerian Bottling Company’s Product “Coke:- Okonkwo Gabriel A
ABSTRACT
he desire to carry out
this research work was motivated by the inherent easonal variation in the sales
of product of bottling companies. The bjective is to identify the model that
suits the series and forecast future ales. A secondary data was collected on
monthly sales of Coke from 2003 o 2010 from Nigerian Bottling Company. Box
Jekins method of time series inalysis was applied using a statistical software
Minitab. ARIMA 211 was ound to suit the data after chi square test of model
adequate has been jsed to confirm the model. A 24 months forecast was made and
it was observed that the sales of the product (Coke) is declining. The company
/vas advice to rebrand and advertise the product.
