Effect Of Labour Management Relations On The Performance Of Manufacturing Organization In Aba South L.G.A (A Study Of Paterson Zochonis Industries Plc, Aba)
ABSTRACT
This study
deals with the effect of labour management relations on the performance of.a
manufacturing organization using Peterson Zochonis industry ple, Aba as the
case study. The problems encountered in labour management relations include;
.poor management style, inadequate remuneration and poor nature of the physical
environment of the work place. The aim of this work is to find out if there is
a cordial relationship between management and employees. Hypothesis was draw
and tested using chi-square statistic and simple percentage. The population of
the study is 600 but 240 respondents were used as the sample size they
represent various departments that make up the entire organization. The
findings of this work is as follows: there is a cordiale relationship between
management and labour in P.Z industry, there were evidences that productivity
is ‘high because of the compactable relations between labour and management,
thirdly, works wages and allowance are usually the main cause of industrial
action by workers. The recommendation of this work include labour management
relations in production should be carried out in other manufacturing industries
there should be an improvement on the physical environment of the work and
management should ensure that adequate recommendation accords labour in the
organization.
