ABSTRACT
The method of automating an application
process with the use of the power of a computer in order to achieve
mathematical calculations, record keeping of results and the generation of
transcript is made easier. A software application was developed to take
advantage of the old system of transcript production to student at graduation
or any time other than graduation. The calculation of students GPA, CGPA,
keeping a record of it and subsequent production of transcript is quite
challenging when it has to be automated with high accuracy. The existing
methods are inadequate to meet such demand when time and accuracy is of utmost
importance which is the advantage of the proposed system over the existing one.
To achieve this, adequate data were collected using questionnaire, observation
and interview methods of research. Based on the data collected, T-test
procedure and Bar chart statistical methods were employed to analyze the data
systematically. From the analysis, a software was developed using Visual basic
6.0 programming language and Microsoft Access for designing the database.
