ABSTRACT
Fire
monitoring system plays an important role in maintaining and monitoring the
safety of all kind of environments and situations especially in Farms. However
the usability of many existing fire monitoring system is well known but could
be produce with high cost. Subsequently, it is not affordable for the low
income earners/users. The main objective of this project is to produce a
prototype of fire monitoring system with low cost which can be used in farm and
in other environments such as hotels and industries. The system has two
detection components which are heat detector and smoke detector. This paper
discusses the design and construction of a fire monitoring system using the
microcontroller which operates the entire system. The detectors are placed at
different strategic areas. Any signal from each detector will be send to the
microcontroller which triggers the buzzer and display the area where the signal
is from on the LCD. The microcontroller is been programmed in such a way by using
C language. Hopefully with the development of the fire monitoring system, it
helps all users at any level of income to have one at their home and office.
